Outerlimit Completes SOC2 Type 1, Extending Trust to Its Own Security & Compliance Layer

Independent attestation confirms that Outerlimit's security controls meet enterprise standards.

‍

London and New York, September 30, 2026: Complementing its existing certifications, Outerlimit today announced that it has successfully completed its SOC 2® Type 1 examination.

SOC 2 Type 1 means an independent auditor has confirmed that Outerlimit has agreed, designed, and implemented enterprise-grade security controls across its business. These controls span from technical defenses that keep malicious actors out, through to operational processes like access and risk management.

This provides customers with the assurance that Outerlimit is maintaining the highest security standards and has built robust operational controls across the organization.

On achieving this key compliance milestone, Neil Larkins, Outerlimit’s COO, commented:

"Gaining SOC 2 Type 1 so quickly demonstrates how serious we are about building security in from day one, not bolting it on at a later point. We ask enterprise customers to trust us to deterministically secure their agentic AI estates, so our own platform has to meet the same security and compliance standards.”

Independently Examined by Moore Kingston Smith

The examination was conducted independently by a team from top 10 UK accountancy and advisory firm Moore Kingston Smith, led by Benjamin Ocquaye, Director of Technology Risk and Controls Assurance.

The examination covered three of the five SOC2 Trust Services Criteria: Security, Availability and Confidentiality. On completion of the audit, Benjamin Ocquaye commented:

"Outerlimit demonstrated a disciplined approach throughout the SOC 2 Type 1 examination, with thorough preparation, open engagement and clear ownership of its controls. The quality and availability of supporting evidence reflected a well-structured approach to control documentation.”

Outerlimit's Evolving Security Strategy

A SOC 2 Type 2 examination is scheduled to commence shortly. Outerlimit intends to continue developing its compliance program as its control environment and customer requirements evolve.

The SOC 2 Type 1 report is available to authorized customers, prospects and partners on request, subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.
